David Starlin

David Starlin 73, passed away at the home of his granddaughter in Crooksville on Saturday February 7, 2026.

Dave was born on February 10, 1952 in Nelsonville, Ohio, a son of the late David and Doris (Mahon) Starlin. Dave was raised in Congo and kept those roots to his heart, he was a simple no-nonsense type of guy, who worked at many hard labor jobs, if the television was on, it was Westerns or the News.

Dave is survived by his children, Jamey Starlin, Davina Starlin, and Heidi (Chris) Kaido; his grandchildren, Aaren Winchell, Melanie Bauman, Austin Savage, Julia Kaido, Jamey Starlin, Keeley Bateson, Sarah Chevalier, Conner Kaido, Isabella Starlin, Aiden Shoults, and Jase Starlin and seven great grandchildren. Siblings, Betty, Robin, Barbara, Bob, Dan, Jeff, and Gary and many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in death by Son, David Winchell, sister, Janice Starlin, Brother, Tom Starlin.

A special thanks to granddaughter Keeley for the care that was given to Grandpa (Peepaw).

Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Tuesday February 10, 2026, at the J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME 118 W. Walnut St. SHAWNEE Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday February 11, 2026, at the Funeral Home with Jamie Spergin officiating. interment Millertown Cemetery.
